About Us

The Beats Without Borders collective is made up of 4 established global beats DJs, who spin & produce eclectic blends of dance music - from funked out balkan beats to bass heavy global breaks to sexy middle-eastern bellydance to bangin' bhangra, we'll rock the party, guaranteed!  We've been around for four years now, and have made a name for ourselves by throwing monthly parties at local clubs. We've brought in big names such as Cheb i Sabbah, Makyo, Janaka Selekta, SubSwara, Adham Shaikh and have opened for the likes of Talvin Singh, the MIDIval Punditz, and Karsh Kale. We've also traveled up and down the West Coast playing clubs and festivals from San Fancisco to Nelson, BC. For the last 3 years, we've thrown the huge afterparty for Vancouver International Folk Festival.

We spin music from around the globe, and we believe we should give something back as well; that's why we donate 5% of everything we make to Project Somos.
